CHAPTER 1: THE ROOTS

This is where Ericka's story begins. As a child, literature has always been a tool for her; used for knowledge and escape. Even as an adult, she has continued to utilize books. Most recently, she has fed her desire to nurture by acquiring plants and thus began her indoor gardening journey. Her goal with this site is to infuse her passion for both. She intends to provide bookish and plantish content through the lens of a young black woman.

When she is not engrossed in a novel, caring for her plants and over loving her dog, Ericka teaches full time.
